Study programmes

At the University of Graz, the languages Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian (B/K/S), Russian and Slovenian are offered as fully-fledged Slavic studies. Students can acquire the academic degree "Bachelor of Arts" and deepen and expand their skills within the framework of a Master's and doctoral program. In addition, all three languages can be studied as teaching subjects as part of the teacher training program.

In addition to language training in the chosen focus language and at least one other Slavic language (e.g. Ukrainian or Polish), the subjects of linguistics, literary studies, cultural studies and - in the teaching subjects - subject didactics form the core content of the course. Students of Slavic Studies receive a sound practical and subject-specific education and acquire a high level of culture-specific and intercultural skills.

The institute offers ideal supervision conditions that enable an intensive exchange between students and teaching staff.
