Dear colleagues and students,
This year’s Winter College is dedicated to the Macedonian language and the culture and society of North Macedonia from the perspective of intermediality. The programmatic focus reflects the growing international recognition of contemporary artistic forms, theater and film productions from North Macedonia, which mirror and critically examine the country’s current processes of negotiation between politics, society, and art.
Renowned experts from North Macedonia and Austria are participating in the interdisciplinary lecture program. The lectures can be attended either in person at WALL (Merangasse 70) or online, and are open to all. The same applies to our cultural program (Macedonian get-together, film screening, and theater event), which is aimed at a broad audience in Graz and the surrounding area.
Our exclusive guest from Skopje is the playwright Dejan Dukovski. We are grateful that he has allowed us to center his latest play in our format “Театарска ГоворФабрика” (Theatrical SpeechFactory), and that he will participate in the theater event (see below).
More on our activities soon in our NMKBlog.
We would be delighted by your interest and your numerous attendance!
