Liebe Kolleginnen und Kollegen, liebe Studierende,
wir laden herzlich ein zum Gastvortrag
Aleksandar Hemon's Transnational Contact Zone of Literature, Music, Art, and Culture: The World and All That It Holds and TheLazarus Project
von Dr. Selma Raljević (Mostar)
Zeit: Donnerstag, 22. Mai 2025, 13.30 – 15.00 Uhr
Ort: Universität Graz, Merangasse 70, Raum 33.1.052 (Institut für Slawistik)
The lecture will deal with the creation of transnational, transcultural, interdiscursive, and transdiscursive literary worlds of the said novels. It will also deal with the transnational communal networks behind the literary worlds of Hemon’s The World and All That It Holds and The Lazarus Project. This means that the lecture will additionally bring attention to Hemon’s literary and artistic work as seen as having the influence on social developments and changes in its own way, but it will also deal with the collaboration of his literary works with the arts, and then with questions of their style, form, genre, discourses, and narrative worlds. To use the title words of Hemon’s so far latest novel, The World and All That It Holds, the lecture will create an argument that the literary worlds of this contemporary Bosnian/Post-Yugoslav/Slavic-American writer do contain the whole world and all that it holds.
Wir freuen uns auf Ihr Kommen!
