The Ukraine Belarus division introduces itself

Since 2022, research and teaching in the field of Ukrainian and Belarusian studies has been intensified at the Institute of Slavic Studies at the University of Graz. Since 2023, teaching has included Ukrainian lessons over four semesters up to level A2 (2 semesters at Treffpunkt Sprachen and 2 semesters at the Institute of Slavic Studies). A new feature is the opportunity to complete the "Ukraine - Language, Culture, Law" certificate in cooperation with the Center for Eastern European Law. For the first time, the winter college "Ukraine interactive" will take place in winter 2024 with an interdisciplinary program of language lessons, academic lectures, workshops and excursions.

The following people are involved in research activities as part of the Ukraine research focus
